Honest Supplies was born from a realisation in our personal life that we need to live more sustainably. Having seen the amount of plastic in single use disposable products such as tissue roll, we want to offer an alternative that is made here in the UK.
Around 27,000 trees are cut down globally for toilet roll every day.

Reducing the carbon footprint
Having moved to a new area with a refill shop, we were curious to see how they work. As soon as we got home, we started looking around to see what we could do to reduce our carbon footprint, and make a better world for the next generation.
We started by following the 3 steps, reduce, reuse, & recycle. By going to refill shops & local farm shops, we are able to buy exactly what we need, in plastic free packaging, and the majority of what we buy is local & made right here in the UK, reducing the transport millage of what we've bought.

Plastic free alternatives
The more we researched, the more we found out about the effects of plastic on our environment, & that a lot of what we recycled is actually shipped overseas and illegally dumped.
Whilst there are more products on the market now that offer a plastic free alternative, the majority are made from bamboo which has to be manufactured and then shipped from the other side of the planet, putting thousands of transport miles onto the products before it even gets to the UK. So instead we offer plastic free, sustainable products made right here in the UK.
Because we have an integrated supply chain, we are able to minimise waste & transport, allowing us to keep our CO2 footprint to an absolute minimum.
Around 22,000 tons of plastic enter our oceans every day.
